Different types of sensors implementent on our funjet.IR- infrared tempeature sensor
Placement: on top of the airframe in the center of gravity.
Purpose: detects the changes in tempeature surrounding the airframe. Air closer to earth is warmer than air higher in the athmosphere and that is used to get the desired roll, tilt and yaw on the airframe.
Flaws: Is unreliable, doesn´t work everywhere e.g over clacier.
IMU- Inertial measurement unit
Placement: inside the airframe, in the center of gravity
Purpose: Measures accelerations and rotation rates (and magnetic field)...
